This multi-activity tour of eastern Arunachal Pradesh takes us on bicycles, rafts and on foot across the watershed area of the Brahmaputra River valley. This region situated at the foothills of the Mishmi hills the eastern flank to the Himalayan chain, is the land of the Animist and Theravada Buddhist tribes.

Authentic interactions, local cuisine, history and lifestyle of the tribes etc are our focus here. The cycling phase takes us across territories of six different tribes where as the hiking phase takes us away from civilization into two different and unique wildlife sanctuaries. This multi-activity tour of Eastern Arunachal Pradesh also includes rafting on the Dibang and the Lohit rivers, the easternmost tributaries of the Brahmaputra.

Terrain

The terrain is an even mix of hills and plains. The hikes will include hilly terrain where as the cycling is mainly on even terrain.

Backup

Sturdy SUV’s and sturdier driver will accompany you on every trip. the condition of roads do not allow for larger vehicles, however do our best to provide you the best in comfort in relation to the routes that we ply on. These vehicles are along right from your airport pick up to your drop back to the airport.

Permits

Indian nationals require an Inner Line Permit (ILP) whereas foreign nationals require a Restricted Area Permit (RAP / PAP). These have a govt. charge attached to them. Rest assured we take care of the arrangements.

Weather Pattern

Post monsoon months of September- October and pre monsoon months of March-April are very pleasant with blue skies and a fair days. Peak winters are from November to February with the mercury coming down below 18 C, in the evenings, however the days are still favourable for cycling.

All our routes are well known to us, we know where the nearest medical facilities are, we know whom to contact if in case of an emergency, we know all the alternate routes in case of road blockages.
